In late December, many secondary teachers received netbook computers to replace classroom desktops. This idea was supported by principals, the technology committee, and teachers who were consulted prior to its implementation. Some teacher users are not as satisfied as we had hoped, and support is available on the district’s support portal (https://sites.google.com/a/ccsd.edu/tech/ ) by clicking on the Your Netbook link. Support for other programs (i.e. Google Apps, Dreambox, SMART Notebook, and more) are also posted to the site. To access the site, log on to the teacher side of the portal (start.ccsd.edu) and click the “Software Support” link on the right side of the page.
