Google Changes YouTube; Schools Benefit!

“YouTube settings in Google Apps allow you to restrict which YouTube videos are viewable, which videos might show up as recommendations, and which videos are returned in YouTube Search results for signed-in Apps users in your organization.”

Google’s announcement yesterday  has significant impact for school districts because it now makes YouTube available to schools using Google Apps for Education in a way that meets the filtering needs of many districts.

Allowing other YouTube admins to approve YouTube content (ideally teacher who accepts responsibility for doing so) goes a long way to ensuring the resources are there when we–teachers and students–need them.
