Wireless Access for “Bring Your Own Technology” (BYOT)

Wireless Access for “Bring Your Own Technology” (BYOT) Debuts Monday, March 5, 2012 – Student and staff will have the opportunity to bring their own technology devices (i.e. iPad, laptop) to school and connect to the Internet using our district’s wireless network, similar to what is done at Starbucks and hotels.   The same username and password currently used for email and network access will work, though users cannot access their h:/ drive or other resources on our local network.  They will have Internet access, filtered as it is on school computers.  This provides access to Google Apps, SchoolWebLockers, blogs, wikis, online databases and more.  Details will follow with an information sheet for parents and teachers.
